Òrúnmìlà was so much in poverty that he left home and went to cultivate a land for farming. At the farm, things were not too rosy so he decided to consult with a Babaláwo to find out the way out. He was told to have patience and that it is the same farm that would enrich him. At the other side of the city where Òrúnmìlà was cultivating, there was great famine and life was very hard. Even with money, you cannot find food to buy. Sango was affected by this drought and decided to use his powers to find where he could get food. He saw a farm and off he went. When Sango got to this farm, he started harvesting food items without recourse to the owner. Meanwhile Òrúnmìlà was at the other side, something prompted and he decided to have a look around his farm. That was how he met Sango, with yam tubers and other farm produce. Sango, known as a king, cannot be caught or announced as a thief. He started begging Òrúnmìlà to understand that it was as a result of drought that made him steal. He asked Òrúnmìlà to please conceal his identity. But since Òrúnmìlà was looking for wealth, compelling him to farm, he would enrich him beyond his imagination. As such Sango brought out a miniature gourd from his cloths and gave to Òrúnmìlà. When you get home, close the door and spill the content on the floor, Sango instructed Òrúnmìlà. When Òrúnmìlà got home, he did exactly as Sango said. Òrúnmìlà did as told. Suddenly, the content of the gourd turned into rubbles of cowry shells; enormous amount of money that was enough to enrich Òrúnmìlà hundred folds. Òrúnmìlà was dancing and rejoicing. He was praising his Babalawos while Babaláwo was praising Ifá. He said it was as his Babaláwo said
